Green Travelers Get Green Back
The following post was written by John Newton, who will be guest blogging on Hotel Check-In this week while Barbara De Lollis is out. A veteran travel journalist, John is a former editor at Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler.
Hello to all the readers of Hotel Check-In. I'm honored that Barbara offered me the chance to fill her shoes while she explores Long Island. I'll do my best to provide you with a week of breaking hotel news, as well as updates on trends and deals in the hotel world . . . .
AKA Hotels (an extended-stay brand with properties in New York, D.C. and Philadelphia) offers a Go Green deal that is about as straightforward as a guest could hope for: Skip housekeeping on stays of three to six nights, and you'll get a rebate of $30 per night. Presumably AKA believes that after the sixth night even the most frugal traveler should get clean sheets.
