The National Christmas Tree Lighting
WHEN Saturday, December 01, 2012 -

WHERE Enter the Park on Pennsylvania Avenue and 15th Street NW or E Street NW and 17th Street NW
In 1978 a 40-foot live tree was transplanted from York, PA to the Ellipse in DC and has stood there as America's National Christmas Tree ever since. Come out for the lighting of the tree and all the festivities that go along with it, with this great way to kick off the holiday season.  On December 1st, musical guests accompany the celebratory initial lighting.
