AKA's Guide to WorldPride in Washington,DC
Washington, DC will host the 2025 WorldPride, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Pride celebrations in the city. Organized by the Capital Pride Alliance, this landmark events is expected to draw many from around the globe to honor and uplift the LGBTQ+ community with parades, concerts, and cultural events. WorldPride Events
The theme for WorldPride 2025, "The Fabric of Freedom", emphasized unity and globy activism, perfectly reflecting Washington, DC's rich history of advocacy and diversity. The festivities will begin on May 22 with a Welcome Ceremony at Nationals Park, featuring a highly anticipated concert by Shakira. The heart of the celebration, the WorldPride Parade, will take over the city on June 7, drawing visitors from around the world to celebrate equality. Following the parade, a Post-Ceremony Concert will feature Cynthia Erivo on Capitol Concert Space. The celerbation will culminate on June 8 with a spectacular Closing Concert featuring Doecchi.
