For over 40 years, PBS has been broadcasting A Capitol Fourth, an annual star-studded concert from Washington D.C., ending in an epic firework show over the National Mall. This event is a highlight of America's Independence Day celebration, featuring a parade of superstars and offering the best in the country's entertainment. The concert begins at 8PM on July 4th and is open to the public. Access to the Capitol grounds opens at 3PM from the gates located at the southwest corner.
